Masam removes 3,797 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices in Yemen

The Masam Mine Clearance Project in Yemen announced today, Sunday, the total number of mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices removed during the month of November, as the project teams removed 3,797 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices.
The project explained that the outcome of the last week of November included the removal of 758 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices, while the project teams removed since the beginning of the month 3,164 unexploded ordnance and 559 anti-tank mines.
Since the start of the project in June 2018, Masam’s teams have cleared 52,044,019 square meters of Yemeni land.
Last week, the Masam Project carried out an operation to destroy and detonate 1,316 mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices in Bab al-Mandab, which engineering teams had removed from several Yemeni areas.
These achievements come within the framework of the efforts of the Masam Mine Clearance Project in Yemen, which aims to clear Yemeni lands of mines and unexploded ordnance, and protect civilians from their dangers.
