Lamlas discusses with the Minister of Works the maintenance of a number of roads in the capital, Aden, and the establishment of a safe path for trucks

The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, met in his office at the governorate’s general office, today, Monday, with Engineer Salem Muhammad Al-Huraizi, Minister of Public Works and Roads.
The meeting discussed a number of problems facing the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges in the capital, Aden, and the efforts being made to restore the corporation to its assets and property that were exposed during the war.
The meeting, which included Eng. Moeen Al-Mas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Engineer Issam Al-Busaili, Executive Director of the General Authority for Roads, and Engineer Muhammad Al-Abadi, Director-General of the Authority for Roads and Bridges in the capital, Aden, also discussed the mechanism of cooperation and coordination between the local authority and the General Authority. For roads and bridges, to maintain a number of main roads, which were damaged during the war, the most important of which are the Goldmore and Al-Qalaa tunnels, and a number of streets in the Mansoura District, and possible ways to create safe paths for heavy transport vehicles (container tugs).
The governor of the capital, Aden, affirmed the readiness of the local authority to exert all endeavors and efforts until the Roads and Bridges Corporation regains its properties, indicating that directives have been issued to the competent agencies to deal with cases of expansion and intrusions that took place during the war period in a number of districts, and many of them have been restored. State and private public facilities that have been returned to their owners.
Lamlas praised the efforts made by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund and the road projects it implemented in the capital, Aden, which contributed to facilitating and smoothing the movement of citizens, and clearly reduced the severity of congestion that the capital was suffering from, stressing the local authority’s keenness to conclude more agreements. Cooperation and partnership with institutions and concerned parties for the benefit of Aden and its people.
For his part, the Minister of Public Works and Roads expressed his happiness at holding this meeting, and the keenness and great interest that the Governor gives to Malas to facilitate the work of the Ministry and its affiliated institutions, reviewing in the context the totality of projects included in the Ministry’s matrix for the coming year 2024, in which the capital, Aden, received space. Large, in recognition of its uniqueness as a main interface for the country.
