The launch of the activities of the first Volunteer Hope Forum in Mukalla

The Hope Forum for Female Volunteers, affiliated with the Women’s Cultural and Social Hope Foundation, organized the first Hope Volunteer Forum on Tuesday morning in the city of Mukalla, with the participation of 33 volunteer teams from Hadhramaut and Abyan governorates.
During the inauguration of the forum, the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Al Amal Cultural and Social Feminist Foundation, Dr. Abha Baawidan, stressed the importance of volunteering and keeping pace with developments to advance it and the strategic organization of volunteer teams, thanking the role of volunteer teams in supporting the Foundation, giving a comprehensive explanation of the volunteer form and its objectives.
Director of the Hope Center for Volunteers and member of the Board of Trustees, Noura Al-Kaff, in the presence of Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hope Foundation, Executive Director, Dr. Fathia Bahashwan, and members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Solaf Al-Hanashi and Maryam Bamatraf, indicated that the forum aims to develop volunteers’ knowledge about rights, duties, and protection during volunteer work, and to build initiatives. Volunteering in light of the sustainable development goals, developing volunteers’ abilities and skills, and increasing opportunities for obtaining work after volunteering.
The forum included a training course on volunteer work for the participating teams, during which trainer Walid Sayyad gave a general introduction to the basics of volunteer work, its charter, principles, rights and duties of volunteer work, financing options, in addition to management at the lowest cost and its applications, symbiotic management of volunteer institutions, and planning and management of sustainable volunteer projects. And the skills of preparing and writing administrative and development reports.
In the forum, a video was shown of the most prominent volunteer activities and initiatives carried out by the Foundation and the Center. The number of volunteers participating in the forum from Hadramaut Governorate and the districts of Mukalla, Al-Shahr, Broum Mayfa, Al-Hami, Douan, and the Governor of Abyan reached about 66 members from 33 volunteer teams, where the There are two participants for each team.
