The Community Protection Committee holds its nineteenth meeting in Aden

The Community Protection Committee held its nineteenth meeting today, Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, under the slogan “Protection is a right for all.”
The meeting, which was sponsored by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaarouri, was attended by representatives of UNICEF and members of the Advisory Committee for Community Protection.
During the meeting, consultant Walid Al-Hamri reviewed the methodology for preparing the strategic framework for social protection, which was prepared in cooperation between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and UNICEF.
The committee members discussed the preparation methodology and provided their comments on it.
The meeting produced a set of outcomes, the most important of which are:
* Participation of the strategy for older persons, security and peace in the next extraordinary meeting of the Committee.
* Coordination with the Central Bureau of Statistics to conduct an objective survey on social protection.
* Proposing a training and qualification course and capacity building for members of the supervisory and advisory committee for the strategic framework document for social protection.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaarouri, stressed the importance of the role of the Community Protection Committee in developing the necessary policies and strategies to protect the poorest and most needy groups in society.
The Minister praised the efforts made by UNICEF in supporting the efforts of the Yemeni government in the field of social protection.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Saleh Mahmoud Abu Suhail, and a number of personalities.
