Military official: World Food halting its aid in Houthi areas is a bad omen of a humanitarian catastrophe

Brigadier Sadiq Dawid, a member of the Joint Forces in the West Coast and the official spokesman for the National Resistance, said that the announcement by the United Nations World Food Program in Yemen of stopping the aid program in areas controlled by the Houthi militia is an ominous omen of a humanitarian disaster for the poorest people.
p>Dawid added, via the “X” platform, that the announcement of the program comes days after the group of experts condemned what the Houthis are doing in diverting funding for humanitarian aid and selling relief materials, deleting beneficiaries because of their political affiliations, withholding information, and threatening the lives of workers.< /p>
Brigadier General Sadiq Dawid confirmed that whoever seizes the food of the hungry and does not care about their needs will not win for Yemen or Gaza.
The United Nations World Food Program announced, yesterday, Tuesday, the temporary suspension of the general food aid program in areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
The program attributed the reasons for the suspension to limited funding and the failure to reach an agreement with the authorities to implement a smaller program commensurate with the available resources.
