In the speech he delivered this morning at the closing ceremony of the project to use renewable energy to improve the quality of life in Yemen, Minister Al-Zaouri stressed the importance of the solar energy project in the field of Water, agricultural irrigation, public facilities, and housing, indicating that the project will contribute to improving the efficiency of water use, increasing agricultural production, and alleviating the suffering of citizens by providing renewable energy. Calling on international organizations and local civil society institutions to follow the example of the Saudi Development Program in implementing such vital projects. Which contributes to achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life.

Minister Al-Zaouri also pointed out the necessity of preparing plans and strategies by local authorities in the governorates to present them to donors to contribute to financing programs and projects that serve sustainable development.

Minister Al-Zaouri praised the role of the Silah Foundation for Development, which he said was characterized by the standards, competencies and capabilities required to implement projects.

It is worth noting that the renewable energy project benefits 62,000 “beneficiaries” in five governorates, “Hadramaut, Lahj, Abyan, Taiz, and Hodeidah,” and includes 200 solar energy systems with a production capacity of 1.2 megawatts, and 2,194 panels.< /p>
