Hand in Hand implements psychological support sessions within the framework of (You are strong, we are proud of you)

The Hand in Hand Foundation for Development, with funding from the Search for Common Ground organization, implemented psychological support sessions - within the psychological support project (You are strong, we are proud of you) within the framework of “Involving Women in National Support” with the participation of a number of girls and women survivors from the districts of Aden Governorate during December 2023.
At the opening of the psychological support sessions, Ms. Warda Al-Sayed - President of the Hand in Hand Foundation for Development, welcomed the girls and women survivors who were invited simultaneously during the period of the (16) Day Campaign to combat violence against women..
Warda stressed that the importance of holding the sessions within the psychological support project (You are strong, we are proud of you) lies within the framework of “Involving women in national support,” which aims to enhance psychological skills and social integration, provide them with psychological and social emotional support, and give them concepts about the equation Life, overcoming obstacles, and how to take clear, practical steps to control life.
During the sessions, Dr. Rania Khaled - Psychological Support Specialist, presented topics on overcoming problems positively and how to overcome traumas, in addition to learning about belief systems and methods for positive change.
The participants were also divided into groups and an activity was carried out with expressive drawing on a colorful drawing board. The purpose was to give them an idea of how to color the life in our hands.
The support sessions discussed strengths and weaknesses and the difference between them in terms of balance. The sessions touched on the concepts of balance for a balanced life in behavioral dealing, which is the first step to sustainability, which has an impact on their lives.
The sessions reviewed the importance of the urgent need to pay attention and provide social and emotional support to women survivors and extricate them from the suffering they are in as a result of the conditions and suffering and how they are able to overcome them through their involvement with society and their obtaining their full rights regardless of the fact that she is a woman survivor.
The sessions included moral symbolism for the women and girls who survived by giving bouquets of roses as an expression that she is a strong woman who should be proud of herself and challenges all obstacles in life.
