Inaugurating the distribution of irrigation networks to a number of farmers in Al-Azraq District in Al-Dhalea

The Director General of Al-Azariq District in Al-Dhalea Governorate, Attorney Ali Hadi Al-Hassani, accompanied by the Governor’s Undersecretary, Sheikh Mahmoud Awas, and in the presence of the Directors of the Directorate’s Agriculture and Security Departments, inaugurated today, Saturday, the distribution of irrigation networks and their accessories to (45) farmers from the District’s population within a project implemented by the Social Fund for Development in the capital. Aden, with funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The Director General of Al-Azariq District praised the efforts of the implementing and supporting agencies, hoping to expand the scope of the project to include the largest possible number of farmers in the various regions of the District, by increasing the volume of development interventions of the Fund and IFAD in the agricultural and water sector at the district level.
The cost of the project, which benefits a number of farmers, amounted to approximately (63) thousand euros, as it includes the provision of modern irrigation networks with their accessories with the aim of achieving greater benefit in the agricultural aspect according to scientific methods that reduce water depletion and limit the process of wasting pesticides and fertilizers.
