The joint forces in Shabwa Governorate carried out a security campaign to track down arms dealers and wanted persons as part of the efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability and normalizing the situation in the various directorates of the governorate.
A security source said that, on Thursday, the campaign forces carried out a raid on one of the shops belonging to arms dealers in Ataq, and the force found a large quantity of various weapons inside the shops.
The source said that the joint forces in the governorate are working in accordance with the directives of the Governor of Shabwa, Chairman of the Security Committee, Sheikh Awad Muhammad bin Al-Wazir, and within the security plan to prevent armed manifestations, the joint forces are continuing their investigations in all directorates of the governorate to arrest arms dealers and those wanted by security forces.
