Southern military analyst: Bab al-Mandab is under the control of the coalition and southern forces, and the Houthis want to mislead public opinion

Southern military analyst, Brigadier General Thabet Hussein Saleh, revealed today the Houthi group’s goal in its repeated talk about threats to navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Saleh said, in a post on his page on the social networking site “Facebook”, that “the repeated conversations and statements of the Houthi leaders and their media professionals regarding the threat to international navigation aim to mislead the international community about their control over the Bab al-Mandab Strait.”
He added, "The truth known to everyone is that the Bab al-Mandab Strait is under the control of the southern forces and the Arab coalition, not to mention the heavy international presence in this vital region for global trade."
Saleh pointed out that “through these threats, the Houthis are trying to put pressure on the international community to impose pressure on the Yemeni government and the Arab coalition countries, with the aim of forcing them to sit at the negotiating table and accept their impossible demands.”
He pointed out that "the international community is well aware of the reality of the situation in Yemen, and that the Houthis do not control any lands outside their areas of control in the north of the country, and that they only represent themselves."
