A child died from diphtheria after the health authorities of the terrorist Houthi militia refused to give her the treatment dose for the epidemic despite its presence in their warehouses.
Local sources said that the child, Rahaf Hamoud Muhammad Thabet Swaileh Al-Batoul (13 years old), from Ibb Governorate, died the day before yesterday after suffering from diphtheria.
The sources explained that the girl’s father traveled with her from Ibb to Sana’a, after government hospitals in Ibb were unable to provide treatment for the epidemic.
She added that he spent more than two weeks searching for the serum, but the government hospitals in Sanaa and the Houthi Ministry of Health refused to give them the treatment serum, which led to the deterioration of her condition and her death.
In a post on his Facebook page, the victim’s father revealed that the Houthi militia deliberately hid the serum from his daughter and provided it to influential people.
