Unidentified gunmen assassinated, today, Wednesday, the Director of the Examinations Division of the Education Office in Shabwa Governorate, Mr. Ahmed Tarish Al-Dayani.

Local sources said that the gunmen carried out an armed attack on Al-Diani in the middle of the city of Ataq, the center of the governorate, and close to checkpoints belonging to the army forces.

The sources added that Al-Dayani was hit by bullets in various parts of his body, and was transferred to Ataq General Hospital, but he died as a result of his injury.

No party claimed responsibility for the assassination, while the Education Department in Shabwa condemned the crime and called for the need to investigate it and prosecute the perpetrators.

Al-Dayani is considered one of the prominent educational leaders in Shabwa Governorate, and he held the position of Director of the Examinations Division in the Education Office in the governorate for several years.
