Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Command Council, chaired, today, Tuesday, a meeting of military and security leaders in Abyan Governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by members of the Council’s Presidency, Major General Kamal Hamshari, Director of the Council President’s Office, Dr. Al-Khader Al-Saeedi, Chairman of the committee charged with raising collection points in Abyan Governorate, and Major General Abu Bakr Hussein, Governor of the Governorate and Head of the Security Committee, the Commander-in-Chief stressed the importance It is represented by Abyan Governorate, as a flank of the South, and with its great political and struggle legacy throughout all the stages that the South has gone through.

The Commander-in-Chief at the meeting, which also included Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Head of Joint Operations, Major General Mohsen Askar, Advisor to the President of the Transitional Council for Military Affairs, and Hassan Ghaithan, Chief Executive Officer of the Transitional Council of Abyan, praised the great efforts made and are being made by members of the military and security forces in Abyan Governorate. In terms of combating terrorist organizations, establishing security and stability, and preserving the public peace of citizens.

The Commander-in-Chief pointed out that the security and military campaigns carried out by the Southern Armed Forces to track down terrorist organizations in Abyan have received great attention at the regional and global levels, and they also reflect the seriousness of our forces in combating this scourge that has invaded Abyan Governorate and the south in general, in addition to what... It had a positive impact on the security situation in Abyan itself and its neighboring governorates.

The Commander-in-Chief stressed the necessity of making a greater effort during the next phase by everyone, strengthening the unity of command and military and security decision-making, raising the level of operational coordination, military control and connection, and not tolerating or tolerating any transgressions by anyone, in order to preserve the gains that have been made. It was achieved thanks to the great sacrifices made by the righteous martyrs, led by the hero Abdul Latif Al-Sayyed.

The meeting then reviewed a number of military and security developments in Abyan Governorate, most notably President Al-Zubaidi’s directives to stop collecting illegal taxes on the international coastal line, and their negative effects on citizens and those crossing the international line. In this regard, the meeting immediately approved the lifting of all military collection points. And security, and also approved a mechanism for monitoring the level of implementation, and the measures that will be taken against violators.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi heard from the attendees a number of opinions regarding strengthening the security aspect in Abyan Governorate, in addition to a number of proposals regarding the mechanism for deploying brigades and units in military and security sites, and the necessary measures were taken regarding them.
