Restarting the asphalt production unit at Aden refineries

Today, the Aden Refineries Company resumed asphalt production after operating the asphalt production unit. Thanks to God, and then thanks to the efforts of the workers, engineers, and the company’s leadership, it was operated after a hiatus that lasted for more than eight years. This is a good sign for the restoration of the refinery’s operation at full capacity.
The executive director of the company, Engineer Ahmed Musad Saeed, said in a press statement that the resumption of the unit’s work came after completing the necessary maintenance work for it, as part of the efforts made to restore the activity of the refinery and its role in covering the needs of the local market for oil derivatives and supplying the national economy, pointing out that energy The throughput of the refinery is one hundred and fifty thousand barrels per day and will be sufficient to cover the fuel for all power stations as well as the needs of the local market for petroleum derivatives. Operating the refinery will save the state treasury hundreds of millions of dollars in addition to saving hundreds of millions that were spent monthly in purchasing petroleum derivatives and will be reflected in This has a positive effect on the exchange rate of the local currency against foreign currencies, which caused its collapse, the purchasing value of salaries decreased and they no longer met the most basic basic requirements of most employees, and most citizens began to live below the poverty line.
He added that the asphalt production unit produces about one hundred thousand tons per year, and this quantity is sufficient to cover the asphalt needs of all projects. Operating the asphalt production unit will stop the loss of currency that was wasted in importing asphalt.
The executive director of the refinery praised the efforts of the workers, technicians and engineers who work in all sites day and night like a beehive. Therefore, credit goes to them, after God, for restarting the asphalt production unit and equipping other production units, as well as maintaining tanks, pipeline networks, pumping complexes, oil port berths and other refinery facilities. God willing, the construction of the power station will soon be completed and the refinery will return to its former glory as an important tributary to the national economy and contribute to alleviating the burdens on citizens.
