An official source in the office of the Yemeni Minister of Defense stated regarding the incident of targeting the home of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, at dawn yesterday, Monday, in the capital, Aden, after there were multiple accounts about the incident.

The source described the incident as a “barbaric and cowardly act,” saying that it aroused public disapproval and concern. According to September Net, the official website of the Yemeni army.

The source said that the shooting incident that targeted the home of the Minister of Defense was the result of reckless individual behavior by elements outside the law and order. It was seized by the concerned authorities and placed in prison to be punished in accordance with the law, stressing that, thank God, no one was harmed. Material or human damage as a result of the incident, and such actions will not hinder the Ministry’s leadership from performing its national duties with courage and ability.

The source expressed deep thanks and appreciation for the interaction of everyone, political and military leaders, activists and citizens, to deplore and condemn such reckless behaviour, pointing out that these broad condemnations and the mobilization of the security and military services to arrest the perpetrators of such acts disturbing to the security and stability of the temporary capital, Aden, represented a strong motivation for the leadership of The Ministry of Defense to continue the process of building the military institution on sound foundations that enhance security and stability throughout the country.
