The Director General of the Office of Public Health and Population in the capital, Aden, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muthanna Al-Bishi, received the representative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr. Bernhard Wurm, and representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Yemen, Mrs. Elke and Mrs. Meike, the day before yesterday in the capital, Aden. Van Ohm, and his accompanying delegation from UNEP, the German Bank, and the Yaman Foundation, in the presence of the Director General of the Friendship Teaching Hospital, Dr. Raja Ahmed.

During the visit, Al-Bishi, Bernhard Wurm, and their accompanying delegation made an inspection tour of the hospital and the rehabilitated isolation center, and received a detailed explanation of the performance of the health service provided to citizens, and how to deal with receiving medical cases infected with the cholera epidemic.

Al-Bishi pointed to the difficulties facing the hospital in providing the service, which covers a large segment of citizens from inside and outside the governorate.

During their visit, the delegation was also briefed on the site of the project to build the new maternity and childhood center in the hospital, and the mechanism for its implementation, which contributes to improving the level of service performance and safe and integrated health care for maternal and child health.

For his part, the representative of the German Federal Ministry, Mr. Bernhard, expressed his happiness during his visit to the hospital, accompanied by the Director General of the Health Office in Aden, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishi, stressing the support of his country’s government in strengthening and strengthening the health system in Aden, and raising the level of performance of health work in providing service to citizens.

In turn, the Director General of Health in Aden, Dr. Ahmed Al-Bishi, praised the role and efforts of the German government, in supporting and assisting the health sector in the capital, in promoting and improving the health system.

The delegation was accompanied during the visit by the Director of the German Development Bank in Yemen, Anis Al-Sharjabi, the Logistical Support Officer at UNEPS, Eng. Hussam Abboudah, and the President of the Yaman Foundation, Aden Branch, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hamid, from UNEPS, engineer of the city of Aden, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhalea, M.
