Meteorology warned of the spread of the effect of a cold air mass over large parts of the governorates, originating from the north and center of the Arabian Peninsula, during the weekend, starting at dawn on Friday.

The Meteorological Center alerted citizens and travelers to the extreme cold resulting from the drop in minimum temperatures, as they are expected to reach between four and eight degrees Celsius, in the interior regions and mountain highlands.

He advised citizens to take the maximum health measures and guidelines to prevent the extreme cold and to follow safe heating methods while taking care of the elderly and children from its effects.

He warned fishermen and sea travelers of sea turbulence in the course of territorial waters, the Gulf of Aden and around the Socotra Archipelago as a result of active northern winds.
