An official source in the Ministry of Finance confirmed the completion of the disbursement of salaries for last August to 173 central and local authorities, with a total of 18.1 billion riyals.
The same source explained that the disbursement process was carried out through commercial banks and the post office in implementation of the circular of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh Bin Brik, regarding the disbursement of salaries of state employees, indicating that the authorities that fulfilled their procedures and were disbursed to them include a number of 7 governorates with all their offices, including offices with The numerical density of employees, such as finance, health, education, and labor, with the exception of two governorates, a limited number of offices were not provided, while the number of central authority offices that were completed reached 47 entities, all of which have begun disbursing their salaries through qualified banks.
The source called on the governorates that were late in submitting their salary disbursement request to submit their requests as quickly as possible to ensure the disbursement of their employees’ salaries to alleviate their suffering in light of these difficult circumstances.
The same source also confirmed that there is no truth to the news and rumors circulating regarding transferring the salaries of state employees from Chapter One, concerned with salaries, to Chapter Four, concerned with investment expenditures and development projects, as following this procedure is considered a violation of the provisions of Financial Law No. 8 of 1990 AD and its executive regulations and their amendments.
