270 people were displaced in the first week of December

The number of internally displaced people in Yemen recorded a slight decrease during the first week of December 2023, compared to the previous week.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said in its weekly displacement tracking report, issued today, Wednesday, that it monitored the displacement of 45 families. It consists of 270 people in the period between (3 - 9) December 2023.
The number of displaced people last week represents a slight decrease of 4% compared to the previous week (26 November - 2 December), which witnessed the displacement of 47 families consisting of 282 people.
The report added that Ma’rib Governorate received 24 displaced families last week, most of whom came from Ibb and Hodeidah Governorates, while Hodeidah Governorate recorded the displacement of 8 families; All of them were internal between the governorate’s directorates, which also applies to Taiz, which recorded the same number’s displacement within the governorate’s directorates.
The Displacement Matrix (DTM) of the Organization for Migration reported that the total number of internally displaced Yemenis reached 9,744 families consisting of 58,464 people. , during the period between January 1 and December 9, 2023.
