The people of the Jabal Al-Mualla Ring Neighborhood “Hawsh Hayel Saeed” complained about the failure to connect their homes to the drinking water network.
They confirmed that “they have been suffering for more than four years, despite continuous demands to connect their homes to the water network, but they have not received anything.” Responding to what they say.
Citizen Abdul Halim Al-Khamri, a resident of the neighborhood, said: They suffer from the lack of drinking water reaching their homes, which forces them to buy water, as its monthly cost reaches approximately 60 thousand riyals, which is something that most families cannot afford.
Al-Khamri added, “Electricity has been introduced to the neighborhood and homes have been connected to official meters, which they pay monthly. He is surprised by the delay in connecting the neighborhood to the water network and introducing meters like their neighboring neighborhoods.”
He said: Several letters were sent by the neighborhood’s residents to the concerned authorities. They demanded that water be brought into their homes, but they did not pay any attention at a time when the residents were suffering from a difficult living situation that made them unable to provide the value of half a bottle of water.
The people appealed to the governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and the local authority represented by the director of the directorate, Mr. Abdul Rahim Al-Jawi quickly intervened and found a fair solution that would enable them to connect the neighborhood to the water network.
