A British maritime authority is investigating an accident in the vicinity of Bab al-Mandab, off the coast of Yemen

The British Navy's Trade Operations Authority said on Thursday that it had received a report from a ship in the Bab al-Mandab Strait that an explosion had occurred 50 meters away from it.
The authority did not give further details about the explosion, but advised ships to be cautious and to report any suspicious activities.
