A father slaughters his child's life in Lahj

Lahij Governorate witnessed, yesterday, Thursday, a horrific crime, where a father slaughtered his child, in the Tur Al-Baha area.
The psychological state of many people worsened, as a result of deteriorating living conditions, family pressures, and the absence of services, as a result of the war that broke out in the country against the backdrop of the Houthi coup on September 21, 2014.
Local sources confirmed that a father slaughtered his ten-year-old child in the village of Al-Masharri’, in the Tur Al-Baha region.
The sources reported that the people heard the cries of the child’s mother as she was calling for help from the neighbors to save her child from his father, but they arrived too late and the child had died.
She stated that the father suffers from a state of psychological disorders, which has worsened over the past months, due to the difficult conditions that millions of Yemenis are suffering from.
She said that the family handed the father over to the security authorities in Tur Al-Baha, to take legal measures.
International reports stated that the war that the country has been witnessing for more than eight years has left significant psychological effects among the population of both sexes.
According to human rights reports, the psychological conditions among the people have become more complicated, due to many factors resulting from the war, the most important of which are the constantly deteriorating living conditions, the lack of job opportunities, and the successive collapse of the national economy and the local currency.
