Reuters reported on Saturday that the French shipping group CMA CGM said it had stopped the transit of all container shipments from the Red Sea following attacks on commercial ships in the region.
The Marseille-based group said in a statement, “The situation is deteriorating further and concerns about safety are increasing.”
She added, “Therefore, we have decided to issue instructions to all container ships belonging to the CMA CGM Group in the area that is scheduled to pass through the Red Sea to reach safe areas and stop their trips in unsafe waters immediately until further notice.” ".
