Thus, the Central Bank of Yemen becomes the seventh Arab central bank to join the platform.
The Buna platform, which has been fully operational since December 2020 and is owned by the Arab Monetary Fund, aims to enable central and commercial banks to send and receive intra-payments in Arab and international currencies.
The Arab Monetary Fund has blessed the joining of the Central Bank of Yemen, as its joining the platform is considered a development of the prospects for local investment and commercial work at the Arab and international levels by facilitating the completion of cross-border financial transactions.
