Conclusion of the mine clearance course in Aden

The closing ceremony of the course on the basics of demining, which was implemented by the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) within the framework of demining projects in Yemen, was concluded today at the Mine Action Training Center of the Executive Mine Action Center in Aden.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Qaid Haitham, Director of the Mine Action Executive Centre, Colonel Abdel-Qawi Mohammed, Deputy Director of the Mine Action Coordination Office in Aden, Pilot Colonel Mohammed Thabet Grim, Director of Planning and Training in the Mine Action Coordination Office, and Dr. Intisar Abdel Jalil, Media Officer. And transparency in the Mine Action Coordination Office in Aden, and a number of leaders of the Training Center and the Executive Center.
In his speech at the ceremony, Brigadier General Qaid Haitham pointed out the importance and role of organizations in implementing mine clearance projects in order to achieve alleviation of the suffering of the Yemeni people and serve human development.
NPA Country Director, Mr. Tony Wales, praised the joint coordination between national authorities and organizations working in demining activities in Yemen.
After that, certificates were handed over to the course participants.
This course comes within the joint efforts made by national authorities and international organizations to remove mines and rehabilitate those affected by them in Yemen.
