Announcing the first female music band in Aden

The first female musical group was announced in the capital, Aden, to open the door to the revival of the art movement, and to restore the pioneering role of Aden Governorate through sophisticated and beautiful art, despite the circumstances that Yemen is going through as a result of the war launched by the Houthi group.
The director of the Culture Office in Aden Governorate, musician Ahmed Saleh Bin Godel, explained that the participants in the women’s musical band underwent intensive training over a period of 3 months at the hands of the artists Wahib Al-Jaradi and Jamil Shamakh, with the support of the Development and Arts Foundation, under the supervision of the Culture Office, in a way that improves the quality of society. The status of Aden in the past and present and its pioneering role in artistic, singing and cultural work at the level of the Arabian Peninsula, pointing out the continued training of participants in the women’s artistic troupe to contribute to spreading positive culture, wonderful art and music.
10 Yemeni girls underwent intensive training in playing music using the oud and other instruments such as the violin and the piano, as part of the (Art is My Profession) project, which aims to train women in the field of cultural management and playing musical instruments.
This step was met with a lot of hope and optimism in cultural circles, enhancing the presence and status of Aden in the cultural scene.
