Aden: Tasked with inventorying housing near rocks prone to collapsing and finding solutions to move them

A meeting held in the capital, Aden, today, Wednesday, headed by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Aden, Badr Assistant, discussed the report of the committee charged with preparing a study to address the situation of rocks at risk of falling in the Al-Mualla and Sira districts.
During the meeting, which included the Undersecretary of Aden Governorate for the Projects Sector, Engineer Ghassan Al-Zamki, the Director General of the Public Works and Roads Office in Aden, Engineer Walid Al-Sarari, the directors of the Al-Mualla and Sirah districts, and a number of concerned parties, those concerned in the Works Office were assigned to carry out an inventory of all housing located near the sites. Those rocks that are located below them, and submitting a proposal regarding their transportation during the process of removing those rocks.
An assistant said that the meeting discussed the report of the committee charged with preparing a study to address the situation of rocks that could fall in the districts of Al-Mualla and Sira, where the report concluded that there are a number of rocks that could fall in these two districts, which represent a danger to the lives of residents.
An assistant added that the committee recommended the necessity of removing those rocks, as the Public Works and Roads Office was tasked with inventorying all the residences located near the sites of those rocks and below them, and submitting a proposal regarding their transportation during the process of removing those rocks.
A deputy confirmed that the local council in Aden will work to coordinate with the competent authorities to remove these rocks and provide the necessary solutions for the affected residents of those areas.
