On December 10, the National Movement for Correction and Construction submitted a report to the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Attorney General, and the First Attorney General of the Republic, regarding the issue of spoiled medicines, based on a journalistic investigation supported by documents and conclusive evidence, published by a number of media outlets. Revealing the operations of introducing medicines in unrefrigerated containers into the markets of the capital, Aden, in violation of the law, endangering people’s lives.
On December 12 of this year, the National Movement for Correction and Construction, through the Chairman of the Movement’s Anti-Corruption Committee, Sheikh Abdul Khaleq Al-Ghamari, submitted a complaint and a file containing the case documents to the First Attorney General of the Republic, Judge Fawzi Saeed, who in turn referred the complaint to the Attorney General of Public Funds. Yesterday, Tuesday, December 19, the Attorney General for Public Funds, Judge Nabil Jobah, accompanied by the Chief Prosecutor of the Public Funds Appeal, Judge Abdullah Salem Nasser, carried out a field visit to the free zone and Aden Customs.
The meeting that brought together Judges Jobah and Nasser with the Director of Free Zone Security, Abdul Salam Al-Omari, and the Director-General of Aden Customs, Mohsen Qahtan, discussed the issue of medicines that arrive at the port in unrefrigerated containers and knowledge of the measures taken by those parties.
