The Lahj Governorate Security Administration announced today the great achievement achieved during the year 2023 AD, despite the difficulties facing the security services.
The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Lahj Governorate, Colonel - Ahmed Ahmed Afif Karam, revealed to the “Media Office” the criminal crimes and non-criminal incidents committed during this year.
Karam explained that the Criminal Investigation Department and its branches throughout the governorate have achieved great security success in combating crime in all its forms and legal descriptions, with a total of “1,660” criminal cases, including (33) unknown cases, and (85) accident cases. Non-criminal.
He continued that the number of defendants who committed these crimes reached (2071) defendants, and we were able to arrest approximately (1917) defendants, meaning an arrest rate of 93%.
Karram reviewed the results of the legal procedures in these crimes, which are as follows:
* Referred to the Public Prosecution (859)
* Proceedings were suspended in (60) cases and incidents.
* Ended with reconciliation and waiver (477) cases.
* Referred to other authorities (26) (113) crimes are still under investigation.
* Still under investigation (92) crimes.
* Still under investigation and follow-up (113) crimes.
* Registered against an unknown person (33) crimes.
