Aden Electricity appeals to the concerned authorities to intervene urgently to provide fuel for power stations

The General Electricity Corporation in Aden appealed today, Saturday, to the Presidential Command Council, the Presidency of the Government, and other concerned parties, to intervene urgently to provide fuel for power stations, in order to avoid diesel generation stations from stopping service.
The corporation confirmed that it has exerted most of its efforts over the past period by reducing generation to reduce fuel consumption with the decline in loads due to the onset of the winter season, in the hope that quantities of fuel will be provided to the stations that will contribute to the stability of service during the coming period, but unfortunately this has not been done and has become Most power stations are at risk of stopping.
The General Electricity Corporation renews its call to all concerned parties to expedite the provision of a quantity of fuel to maintain the relative stability of the service and not stop more than 70% of the generating stations.
According to sources in the corporation, the remaining fuel in the stations is sufficient to operate them for specific hours, which will lead to the city being plunged into complete darkness if they stop serving.
This appeal comes amid the suffering of citizens in the city of Aden from frequent power outages, as electricity is cut off from the city for long hours a day, which negatively affects various aspects of life.
The General Electricity Corporation called on citizens to be patient and endure in these difficult circumstances, stressing that it is making every effort to save fuel and ensure service continuity.
