Meteorology expects cold weather and strong winds in these governorates during the coming hours

The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold to relatively cold weather in a number of governorates, and active to strong winds on the coasts during the next 24 hours.
The center said in its weather bulletin that it expects cold weather in the governorates of Dhamar, Al Bayda, Amran, Sana’a, Saada, Al Dhalea and Ibb.
Cold to cold weather is also expected in the highlands of the governorates of Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadhramaut Plateau, Al-Jawf, Ma’rib, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit and Raymah.
The center indicated the possibility of active to strong winds, ranging in speed between 20-30 knots, around the Socotra Archipelago, the western coast, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
He reported that the lowest temperatures recorded at some weather monitoring stations this morning were in Amran: 04.0, Dhamar: 4.5, Sanaa: 5.8, Saada: 7.6, Al-Sadda: 8.7, Ibb: 09.0, Hajjah: 10.2.
The center warned the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the night and early morning about the cold weather, calling on farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow instructions to protect their agricultural crops from the consequences of the cold.
Seafarers and fishermen in the Socotra Archipelago, the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab were also warned of turbulent seas and high waves.
