In pictures: Security Belt forces announce the arrest of a drug trafficking network in the capital, Aden

As part of efforts to combat the spread of drugs, the Belt Security Forces arrested a drug selling and promoting network in possession of large quantities of narcotic hashish in a number of districts of the capital, Aden.
During a press statement, the Commander of the First Sector of the Aden Belt, Captain Malik Al-Rubaie, confirmed the success of the specific security operation carried out by the Security Belt Forces, with five different operations within three days, which came under the directives of Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, Commander-in-Chief of the Security Belt Forces, and under the direct supervision of the Staff of the Security Belt Forces. The security belt, Brigadier General Jalal Al-Rubaie, in coordination with the Director of Security of the capital, Aden, Major General Mutahar Al-Shuaibi.
The Commander of the First Sector said: “We received security information about the locations of a number of drug trafficking gangs in possession of large quantities that they had smuggled from the Al-Abr area,” adding, “We carried out, on the orders of the Specialized Criminal Prosecution, five specific operations, as we raided the areas of Al-Shaab, Al-Haswa, Al-Mamdara, and Al-Mansoura.” Waldrin and Express, following the formation of a joint team from the sectors of the Aden Belt and the Women’s Police, in the presence of community committees.”
Al-Rubaie pointed out that thirty people accused of promoting and selling hashish and those involved in drug promotion gangs were arrested. More than 25 kilograms of hashish were also seized, 3 electronic scales, tools used in cutting and selling drugs, and 3 cars that the network used in transportation operations from the area. Lessons.
He explained that this achievement comes thanks to joint coordination between the security services and under the supervision of their leaders, as well as thanks to the efforts of the unknown soldiers, officers and personnel of the First Sector in particular and all sectors of the security belt in general.
The Commander of the First Sector gave a presentation on how to hide drug smuggling gangs through a camouflaged oil tank of a medium-sized Toyota (Hiace) bus.
It is worth noting that the first sector of the Aden capital belt had seized more than 160 kilograms of drugs during the year 2023, and more than 90 accused of drug trafficking and drug promotion were arrested.
