The Houthi militia renewed its violation of the truce in Shabwa and targeted residential areas

Today, Sunday, the Houthi terrorist militia launched an artillery attack on residential areas in the Upper Markha District, southwest of Shabwa Governorate.
Media sources reported that the militias stationed on the borders of Al-Bayda Governorate bombed with artillery and mortar shells the villages and homes of citizens in the district, without resulting in casualties or damage.
The sources confirmed that the forces of the Fifth Shabwa Defense Brigade responded to the militia attack, confronted it efficiently, and forced the militias to retreat.
This Houthi attack comes at a time when the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced yesterday, Saturday, that the Yemeni parties had reached a commitment to a set of measures, including implementing a ceasefire.
Grundberg confirmed that he will work with the Yemeni parties, in order to develop a road map, under the auspices of the United Nations, that includes these commitments and supports their implementation.
