Marib..3 soldiers were killed by tribal gunmen as the tribal escalation continues in rejection of raising the price of oil

Three soldiers from the Road Protection Forces were killed today, Monday, by gunfire from tribal gunmen at the Bin Maili station on the international road in Ma’rib Governorate.
According to local sources, tribal gunmen opened fire on a checkpoint of the Road Protection Forces at the Bin Maili station, killing three soldiers and wounding others.
This attack coincides with the continuing tribal escalation in Ma’rib Governorate, in refusal to raise the prices of locally produced gasoline.
The Yemeni government raised gasoline prices last week by 30%, which sparked a wave of anger and dissatisfaction among citizens.
The tribes in Ma’rib Governorate demanded stopping the increase in gasoline prices, and returning the prices to what they were before the increase by 3,500 for a 20-litre gallon.
The tribes threatened to take protest measures, gave the authorities 48 hours if the government did not respond to their demands, and threatened to bomb Safer.
The Ma'rib Governorate, which is located in northeastern Yemen, is witnessing a state of security tension, due to the tribal escalation.
