Ali Al-Kathiri, President of the National Assembly, during his meeting with the President of the General Union of Housing Associations in the capital, Aden, Jabal Radfan, and the Secretary-General of the Union, Wajdi Al-Nakhai, was briefed on the progress of the Union’s work.
The meeting discussed the Union’s efforts to unify and organize the visions of the southern cooperative societies in the capital, Aden, to renew their licenses at the Office of Social Affairs and Labor.
The meeting parties discussed moves aimed at restoring housing plans that had been subjected to squatting and random construction by violators of the law and order, and inaugurating disbursements to associations whose rights had been suspended since the year 1994.
Al-Kathiri praised the Union’s successes and its efforts to enable housing associations to regain their rights lost three decades ago, in order to address the problems that hinder their activities.
He stressed the support of the Southern Transitional Council, the National Assembly and its committees for the efforts of the General Federation of Housing Associations in the capital, Aden, and providing the necessary facilities to enable it to succeed in its tasks.
