The Arabian Sea Ports Corporation forms an investigation committee into the causes of the burning of a wooden ship in the port of Mukalla

On Monday, the Arabian Sea Ports Corporation formed an investigation committee to determine the causes of the burning of a wooden ship in the port of Mukalla, southern Yemen.
The corporation explained, in a statement, that the burned ship "Sultan Medina" was carrying 230 tons of various goods and 4 cars for transportation to Socotra.
She added that fire suddenly broke out under the ship, and it was difficult to control it, which prompted the port administration to remove nearby ships to protect them from harm.
The corporation continued that attempts to extinguish the fire continued for two hours, and after failure, we decided to tow the ship out of the port.
The statement confirmed that the Corporation will submit the results of the investigation to the competent authorities, and take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
