“Masam” project removes 826 mines in Yemen within a week

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center “Masam” project to clear Yemeni lands of mines during the third week of this December was able to remove 826 mines in various regions of Yemen.
It included 9 anti-personnel mines, 116 anti-tank mines, 681 unexploded ordnance, and 20 explosive devices.

The Masam team removed 5 anti-personnel mines, 6 anti-tank mines, 445 unexploded ordnance, and 20 innovative explosive devices in Aden Governorate.
Hodeidah Governorate
In Hodeidah Governorate, 7 unexploded ordnance were removed in Al-Khawkhah District, and two anti-personnel mines, two anti-tank mines, and one unexploded ordnance were removed in Hays District.
The team in Ma'rib Governorate was also able to remove 9 unexploded ordnance in Al-Wadi District, and 100 anti-tank mines and 150 unexploded ordnance in Ma'rib District.
In Shabwa Governorate, the team removed one anti-personnel mine in Bayhan District, and 3 anti-tank mines and one unexploded ordnance in Usaylan District.
Masam Project
In Taiz Governorate, the “Masam” team was able to remove 4 anti-tank mines and 12 unexploded ordnance in Bab al-Mandab District, and the team removed one anti-personnel mine and 27 unexploded ordnance in Al-Mukha District, and one anti-personnel mine and 29 unexploded ordnance in Dhubab District. .
Thus, the number of mines removed during the month of December rises to 2,296 mines, bringing the number of mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project until now to 426,90 mines that were planted randomly in various Yemeni territories to claim more innocent victims of children, women and the elderly.
