The civil defense forces in the capital, Aden, this afternoon, Saturday, were able to extinguish a fire that broke out in the Al-Haswah Nature Reserve in the Buraiqa District.
Civil Defense forces rushed to the site following a report of a fire in the trees adjacent to the main street of the reserve, where they were able to control and extinguish it without recording any losses or knowing its causes.
The “Media Office of the Buraiqa District” called on fellow visitors to the reserve and drivers of vehicles passing by it, to be careful and not to throw lit cigarette butts or any flammable materials inside the reserve or near the trees adjacent to the main line so as not to be a cause of a disaster (God forbid, especially With the monsoon winds these days) in the nature reserve of great importance.
In 2014, Al-Haswah Reserve in the capital, Aden, won the “Equator” award from the United Nations among 26 sites around the world, due to its strategic location and its inclusion of many marine and desert plants, as well as dozens of species of endemic and migratory birds.
