An official committee is investigating the burning of a cargo ship in the port of Mukalla

A government committee in Hadhramaut Governorate, southeastern Yemen, on Tuesday began investigating the circumstances of the burning of a small cargo ship that was anchored in the port of Mukalla on Monday morning.
According to a source in the port of Mukalla, the committee is composed of specialists from the Red Sea Ports Corporation, the General Authority for Maritime Affairs and Civil Defense, and other security agencies. The committee began collecting information about the ship "Sultan Madina", which was anchored at Berth No. 3 designated for wooden ships in the port of Mukalla.
The source explained that the port was not damaged by the incident and that movement returned to normal after the burning ship was towed to land at the moment of its burning. Pointing out that the committee will, in the coming days, submit a detailed report on the causes and circumstances of the burning incident and hand it over to the competent government authorities.
