Aden Electricity warns that PetroMasila will stop this evening due to the detention of crude oil tankers

The General Electricity Corporation of Aden appeals to the leadership of Abyan Governorate to intervene immediately to release crude oil fuel tankers coming from Shabwa Governorate, designated to supply fuel to the President’s station in Tromsila.
Aden Electricity confirmed that the station is threatened with a complete shutdown this evening, due to the near exhaustion of crude fuel and the tankers not being allowed to pass, after they were detained by gunmen in the Khabar Al-Maraqsha area in Abyan Governorate.
Aden Electricity said in a statement, “The illegal detention of tankers poses a serious threat to the stability of the electricity network in the capital, Aden, and other southern governorates that depend on the President’s PetroMasila power station.”
Aden Electricity called on the leadership of Abyan Governorate to intervene immediately to release the tankers and ensure the free movement of goods and vital materials in the governorate.
