US sanctions on a Houthi financing network of 3 companies and an individual

On Thursday, America announced the imposition of sanctions on 3 companies and an individual, for their role in facilitating the transfer of Iranian financial support to the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, in response to the targeting of commercial ships in the Red Sea.
The US Treasury Department revealed that the three companies operate in the field of exchange, and are based between Turkey and Yemen, explaining that they are determined to restrict the illicit flow of money to the terrorist Houthis.
It pointed out their role in launching serious attacks on international shipping traffic, and their involvement in further destabilizing the region.
The United States had previously imposed sanctions on 13 individuals and entities for their involvement in transferring tens of millions of dollars in foreign currency from the sale of Iranian products to the criminal Houthi militia.
