Lahj and Abyan are plunged into darkness after diesel runs out

The governorates of Lahj and Abyan have been living in complete darkness for days, after the diesel allocated to power generation stations ran out.
The residential neighborhoods in the two governorates have been in complete darkness for nearly a week, after the diesel fuel that fuels the stations ran out, and the government did not supply the stations with derivatives.
According to local sources, the power plants in Lahj and Abyan are currently operating at half their capacity, causing power outages for long hours every day.
At the same time, the city of Aden, the country's capital, is suffering from fuel scarcity and soldiers in Abyan are seizing oil tankers feeding the PetroMasila station.
It is expected that Aden will enter complete darkness in the coming days if it is not provided with derivatives.
