Various tricks of money exchange shops in Aden negatively affect the economy

The capital, Aden, is witnessing a fierce race among the city’s money changers to encourage citizens to open bank accounts with them, through a new trick invented by the money changers to withdraw citizens’ money with their consent and of their own free will.
The new trick is to provide free gifts to citizens when they open a bank account, such as mobile phone charging cards, small electrical appliances, or even sums of money.
Aden money exchanges exploit this trick to attract citizens to open bank accounts with them, in light of the difficult economic conditions that Yemen is going through, as citizens search for any means to preserve their savings.
Observers believe that this trick exploits citizens' need for money, and contributes to withdrawing their money from the local market, which negatively affects the Yemeni economy.
They called on the competent government agencies to take the necessary measures to stop these practices and protect citizens from falling into the trap of fraud.
