With Emirati support, the Governor of Socotra opens 22 housing units and inspects the progress of the asphalting of Qaara Road in the south of the governorate

The Governor of the Socotra Archipelago, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, today inaugurated the process of handing over 22 housing units to the people of the Khiam area in the south of the island, with the support of the Emirates Red Crescent.
In the delivery, Governor Al-Thaqali praised the support of the Emirates Red Crescent in completing this housing project for the people of the Khiam area and helping them obtain safe and urban housing.
Noting that the project comes as an extension of the UAE housing projects that targeted affected and needy families in the governorate.
Governor Al-Thaqali toured the components of the residential project, each of which includes two rooms, a hall, a kitchen, a bathroom, and basic services.
In addition, Governor Al-Thaqali and the representative of the Emirates Red Crescent handed over the housing units to the beneficiaries according to the name and number of the housing unit, as an in-kind donation provided by the United Arab Emirates to the people of the region.
