After suffering for twenty years...the Residential Association for the Disabled in Aden receives the land parcels for the first batch

The Housing Association for the Physically Disabled in the capital, Aden, today launched the handing over of land parcels to its members after suffering and deprivation that lasted for more than twenty years.
This came under the directives of Mr. Anis Baharitha, Chairman of the General Land Authority, and under the patronage of the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and the supervision of the General Federation of Housing Cooperative Societies.
In a joyful ceremony held by the association in the presence of members of the local authority, it inaugurated the handover of a number of its members to the transfer of their lands, in the presence of Counselor Ali Al-Jaadi, acting head of the General Authority for Lands and State Real Estate, and Brigadier General Pilot Nasser Al-Saadi, head of the auxiliary community body for the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, and the two agents of the capital. Aden Muhammad Nasr Shazli, Engineer Ghassan Al-Zamki, Undersecretary of the Capital City of Aden for the Projects and Infrastructure Development Sector, and Issam Wadi, Director of the Associations, Unions and Cooperatives Department at the Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
In his speech during the inauguration ceremony, the head of the General Federation of Housing Cooperative Societies, Jabal Radfan, said: After strenuous efforts today, we hand over the members of the Disabled People’s Association their land parcels. We and the local authority in the capital, Aden, have made great efforts to restore the rights of the disabled, and these are the simplest rights we offer to people with disabilities. Special needs: This segment of society is considered one of the most important segments.
He emphasized by saying to the disabled: You gave us the strength and determination to work and you were a great support for us, especially since your hope and determination to regain your rights has not tired or tired, and we feel that we are from you and to you, and we will stand with you until the last moment until you enjoy all your rights.
He added: Today we are here to restore rights and empower their owners, appreciating the role of the local authority in the capital, Aden, and the Land Authority, which contributed to crystallizing all the obstacles facing the union and associations in order for the association members to hand over their rights.
In addition, Undersecretary Al-Zamki conveyed the greetings of the Minister of State to the attendees, stressing that the local authority gives special importance to rights holders, praising the role of Governor Lamlas, who directed the Land Protection Unit under the leadership of Captain Kamal Al-Halmi to remove encroachments on the sites of the Disabled Association, and today we are reaping the fruits of that. Directions and movements, and every disabled person will receive his document and thus their dreams that they thought would never come true will be fulfilled.
In a speech by the president of the association, Mr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, which was mixed with tears of joy, he was overcome during the conversation with the rising voices of the disabled appreciating the role he played in realizing their dreams, defying the threats of the influential, enduring their false lies and doubting his intentions, after he rejected all compromises on the rights of the disabled, and in his speech He did not forget the role of the General Union of Associations and its president, Jabal Radfan, pointing out that the formation of the union and the election of its president and members who worked hard alongside the associations until they regained their rights after they had been in the jaws of the powerful and the oppressive.
The ceremony's segments varied between singing, poetic lyrics, and a play that dealt with the suffering of the disabled with influential people who tried to extend their rights and the journey of suffering they traveled until today was achieved with the delivery of the first batch of their land parcels.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Federation of Housing Cooperative Societies, Wajdi Al-Nakhai, and a number of heads of housing cooperative societies.
