The Transitional Council of Advisors holds its founding meeting in the capital, Aden

Today, Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, the Council of Advisors held its founding meeting under the slogan “To Strengthen and Develop the Political and Institutional Performance of the Transitional Council,” under the patronage of Major General Aidaroos bin Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Speaker of the House of Commons, and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
In the meeting attended by Al-Zubaidi, which began with verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the southern national anthem, and a minute’s silence to read Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of the south, Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, head of the Political Commission and the Negotiations Affairs Unit, delivered a speech in which he reviewed the most prominent political developments on The arena.
He presented a brief overview of the political processes that included the road map, the transitional phase, and the agreement on the final solution, stressing its ineffectiveness if it does not meet the aspirations of the people of the South, and praising the role of the Council of Advisors, which is composed of southern elites from all the governorates of the South, and wishing them success. And success in performing their duties.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rubaizi, Vice President of the Council of Advisors, spoke in a speech at the beginning of which he conveyed the greetings of Major General Ali Nasser Lakhsha, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council and Chairman of the Council of Advisors, to all attendees, wishing him a speedy recovery, and in which he touched on the importance of the defining stage in the course of the issue of the people of the South. And restore its state, explaining the great national responsibility that falls on the Council of Advisors to serve the South and its people, and urging all participants to make redoubled efforts in this context.
The meeting addressed a number of important issues related to completing the organizational and political structure of the Council of Advisors, where the internal regulations of the Council of Advisors were discussed and approved, taking into account all the comments submitted by the members. The members of the Council were distributed among the 15 permanent advisory committees.
It also approved the structure of the Council’s permanent advisory committees, and the formation of a secretariat to document the proceedings of the meeting, which led to the following recommendations:
1. Consider the speech of Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, which he delivered at the House of Commons meeting on 1/2/2024, as guidance to all members of the House of Advisors in their general activity or activity within the framework of their advisory committees.
2. The participants in this session approved the internal regulations of the Council of Advisors, along with the comments contained therein.
3. The participants in the founding session recommended the necessity of strict representation and creative application of what was included in all the literature of the Transitional Council, in particular the political vision of the Transitional Council, the statute of the Council, and the internal regulations of the Council of Advisors.
4. The participants in the session recommended that all committees of the Council of Advisors work to fully understand all their tasks and competencies contained in the internal regulations of the Council of Advisors, and work to implement them in the spirit of one team.
5. The session participants recommended that each advisory committee work to develop its own detailed plan leading to the implementation of all its tasks and competencies.
6. The participants in the session recommended the need to expedite the completion of the arrangements for preparing the Council’s headquarters, so that the Council’s advisory committees can carry out their tasks and functions assigned to them according to what is contained in the Council’s internal regulations.
