The Social Protection Advisory Committee holds the twentieth meeting in the capital, Aden

The Social Protection Advisory Committee held this morning in the capital, Aden, the twentieth meeting, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Chairman of the Social Protection Advisory Committee, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al-Zaouri welcomed the participants from the committee members, representatives of ministries, government agencies and organizations, congratulating them on the new Gregorian year, asking God Almighty to make it a year full of successes and victories, calling on them to make more efforts and interact to come up with recommendations that serve the implementation of the methodology for preparing the strategic framework. Minister Al-Zaouri stressed the need to understand the current situation and analyze the available information and data to crystallize and formulate a realistic vision for social protection that is implementable, inspired by priorities and consistent with the current political and economic field data.
During the meeting, His Excellency Minister Al-Zaouri and members of the committee listened to a presentation of the national plan to implement the women, security and peace agenda, presented by Ms. Faiza Abdel Majeed Muhammad Al-Qaim, Undersecretary for the Development Sector and Head of the National Team for Planning, Coordination and Follow-up, which aims to ensure the effective participation of women in all stages of peacebuilding. And decision-making positions, and protecting women and girls from forms of gender-based violence.
The minister’s advisor, Ghazi Abdullah Abdul Rab, also gave a presentation on the national strategy for the elderly, which calls for finding systematic mechanisms for caring for the elderly, and ensuring the provision of health, psychological, recreational, and subsistence care services to them in accordance with the basic references included in the national legislation regulating the rights of the elderly, and human rights reports.
