The Houthi militia accuses Saudi Arabia of delaying the signing of the political settlement agreement between the Yemeni parties

A Houthi leader accused Saudi Arabia of delaying the signing of the political settlement between the Yemeni parties, which was scheduled to be signed at the end of last year.
Nasser Qarsha, who is close to the leader of the Houthi militia, said in a post on the “X” platform that his group was ready to sign the agreement today before tomorrow, according to his claim.
He explained that the head of the Houthi negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, informed them of Saudi Arabia’s decision to postpone the agreement that was supposed to be signed in Riyadh, according to which Saudi Arabia turned into a mediator alongside the Sultanate of Oman and not a party to the war.
The Houthi militia stipulated the signing of an agreement to end the war with Saudi Arabia as it is a party and not a mediator.
In the same context, the UN Security Council will hold its monthly meeting on Yemen, in the middle of this month, to discuss the latest developments following the UN announcement of reaching a road map to resolve the crisis as well as the escalation of Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.
According to the Council’s temporary monthly work program, which was approved, the meeting on Yemen will be held on Tuesday, the sixteenth of January, in a closed consultation session, as is customary in recent meetings.
