The Saudi project “Masam” to clear Yemeni lands of mines was able to remove 968 mines during the second week of September 2023, in various governorates.

The project said in a statement that the removed mines included 5 anti-personnel mines, 49 anti-tank mines, one explosive device, and 913 unexploded ordnance.

The statement explained that the number of mines removed during the month of September so far has reached 1,751, while the number of mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project has become 415,494 mines that were planted randomly to claim more innocent victims of children, women and the elderly.
