The medical community in the south and Yemen in general was shaken today, Friday, by the news of a painful tragedy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed, as a Yemeni doctor from Lahj and 4 of his children died, while his wife and two other children survived, in a painful traffic accident.

Yemeni sources in the Kingdom said that Dr. Jaam Muhammad Saleh Al-Shabhi died with 4 of his children, while his wife and two other children survived the traffic accident.

The sources explained that a large transport truck overturned on Dr. Al-Shabhi’s car yesterday evening, Friday, in the Al-Muzahmiya area, 50 kilometers after the Saudi capital, Riyadh, while he was heading to Mecca with his family to perform Umrah rituals.

Dozens of Yemenis, including doctors, engineers, and citizens, died during the past months, in traffic accidents within the territories of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. All of them were going to perform Umrah rituals, and some were returning to the homeland.
